Creating Joy, Building Community

Our Christmas Wishes program brightens the season for families across our North Central, IL and Minneapolis, MN chapters. Working closely with elementary school social workers and the Boys and Girls Club, we identify families who could use extra support during the holidays.

Each family receives a $75 grocery card to create their special holiday meal, but our impact goes beyond food. Through our community sponsorship program, we connect caring donors directly with families to fulfill holiday wishes.

How Sponsorship Works

Our sponsors bring holiday magic to life by:

• Building personal connections with families to understand their hopes and needs

• Providing each child with two meaningful gifts:

  • A "Joy Gift" that captures the spirit of the season (toys, games, activities)

  • An "Essential Gift" that meets practical needs (warm clothing, school supplies, books)

• Following a suggested gift value of $125 per child to ensure equity

• Delivering gifts to our convenient drop-off locations in Minneapolis or Chicago
